Overview

An affordable housing development on Stone Avenue in Tucson for Gorman & Company and the City of Tucson, designed with Poster Mirto McDonald. The building holds 66 apartments with amenity and leasing space on the ground floor, and steps down to a partial fourth floor.

Structure

  • Gravity: wood stud bearing walls with wood floor and roof trusses, with steel beams and columns where Level 2 needed longer spans
  • Lateral: wood structural panel shear walls
  • Foundations: spread footings and a post-tensioned slab on grade
